The Key Account Salesman is responsible for achieving the overall key account sales target. His responsibilities include; the negotiation of key account contracts, ensure the company products are listed and the supervision of the activities undertaken by the Key Account Salesmen/ Merchandisers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plans together with his Area Sales Manager/Supervisor a monthly sales call cycle to ensure maximum coverage of all potential customers in his designated sales territory. Identifies customers requiring weekly, fortnightly or monthly sales call frequency and schedules them on the six working days each week.

• Assigns a Customer Card for each customer outlet with customer number, call day and frequency, location, contact person, telephone and fax nos., payment term and credit limits and records for stock inventory, sales orders, deliveries and sales invoices, credit payable and payment collection. Places the Customers Card in the designated Daily Sales Route Book at its planned sales call frequency.

• Performs regular sales call to customers’ outlets as per schedules and frequency set in his Daily Sales Route Book, observes proper behavior and follows standard sales call procedure to achieve maximum sales of the full range of Radwa products. Ensures the achievement of the targeted level of distribution for each designated product in his sales territory as specified in his monthly sales quota per product.

• Checks the stock inventory of Radwa products in the customers’ outlets and records in the Customer Card in his Daily Sales Route Book. Ensures that the outlets carry the maximum possible stock of the full range of Radwa products and properly merchandises and rotates the stocks to avoid either out of stock or expiry problems.

• Checks condition of own product displays to ensures correct facings and positioning against competitors and fixes appropriate shelf strips, posters and other point of sales materials and/or on-pack promos. Maintains the Radwa product displays to the highest possible standard to create consumer awareness and encourage off take.
